Satellite imagery shows new jetty under construction along Gaza coastline

epa11220265 A handout satellite image made available by Maxar Technologies on 14 March 2024 shows a new jetty under construction on the Gaza coastline just south of Gaza City, 12 March 2024 (issued 14 March 2024). According to Maxar, construction of the new jetty located along the Al Rashid highway began on 10 March 2024 and it currently extends approximately 50 meters from the shoreline. It is reportedly being built to offload an aid shipment that is coming from Cyprus. Construction crews can be seen operating in the area and work continues to occur on and near the new jetty.
