SLL JoongAng named Yun Ki-yun as the production studio’s new CEO on Monday.
Yun has worked in finance strategy and project management at CJ CheilJedang and KT&G as well as heading up the management support and distribution teams at Dongwon Group. His most recent positions were the COO and CFO at Kakao Healthcare.
“We anticipate CEO Yoon will greatly contribute to raising the value of SLL in the global market and establishing a stable profit structure that is essential for sustainable growth as he is an expert in corporate management and finance,” SLL said in a press release.
“With the recruitment of the new CEO, SLL will do its best to successfully carry out the initial public offering (IPO) and become a global studio.”
SLL JoongAng has produced JTBC drama series like “Agency,” “King the Land,” “Strong Girl Nam-soon” and “Welcome to Samdal-ri,” which recorded high viewership ratings last year. The film “The Roundup: No Way Out” (2023) saw over 10 million accumulated ticket sales.
This year, 31 works that have been produced by SLL are set to be released, which includes 13 drama series and six films.
