Military planes airdrop humanitarian aid on the Gaza Strip

Amid complaints from various humanitarian actors that air dropped aid to gaza is allegedly unsufficient, uneffective and not safe enough. Other methods have been announced in the week. According to NGO Open Arms, the NGO together with World Central Kitchen (WCK), is working in a joint mission to establish a humanitarian matritime corridor, it is due to leave from Larnaca, Cyprus to Gaza on 10 March, the joint mission was first announced by EU President one day earlier. US Army Central Command said on 09 March that its logistics lsupport vessel General Frank S. Besson (LSV-1) has left the Joint Base Langley-Eustis, and is en route to the Eastern Mediterranean to deliver humanitarian supplies to Gaza by sea. EPA/ABIR SULTAN
