Boy band Treasure's second full-length album “Reboot” (2023) once again topped Billboard Japan's charts for Hot Albums and Top Album Sales for the week of March 6, YG Entertainment said Thursday.
The album topped the same charts when it was first released last August, each holding its spot for more than 30 consecutive weeks.
Billboard Japan’s Hot Albums chart tracks the week’s most popular albums in Japan by both physical and digital album sales, while the Top Album Sales chart only takes into account physical sales. The band’s third Japanese EP, “Reboot – JP Special Selection –,” which dropped in February, landed at No. 3 on both charts this week.
Treasure was formed in 2019 through YG Entertainment's audition program “YG Treasure Box” (2018-19). The band debuted as a 12-member group consisting of Choi Hyun-suk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Yoon Jae-hyuk, Asahi, Doyoung, Haruto, Park Jeong-woo, So Jung-hwan, Mashiho and Bang Ye-dam with the single “The First Step: Chapter One” (2020). Members Mashiho and Bang Ye-dam left the band in 2022.
Treasure recently wrapped up its second nationwide tour titled “2024 Treasure [Reboot] in Japan.” It will kick off its second Asian tour in May with a concert in Manila, the Philippines while its meet-and-greet tour for fans will begin in Japan in July.
