SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won was unanimously reelected to a second term as head of Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (KCCI's) Seoul branch on Thursday.
It is customary for the chairman of Seoul Chamber of Commerce and Industry to double as the head of KCCI.
“I really appreciate the opportunity to serve again as the chairman of the Seoul Chamber. I will go back to where I started to reassess myself and be a good leader for the organization,” Chey said in his nomination remarks on Thursday.
“When I first came into office, I remember that I proposed working together towards solving problems that our society and economy are facing. I have tried various approaches for the past three years. There were things I regret, but there were also achievements.”
Some 70 members of the Seoul chamber convened on Thursday afternoon to attend the general meeting where Chey was reelected.
Chey's second term will last for three years.
