LG Electronics Inc. will unveil its latest innovation in screen technology, set to hit the Korean market in March 2024, according to a statement published by the manufacturer. The company‘s new OLED TV and QNED TV promise a significant leap in artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, offering consumers an enhanced, unprecedented viewing experience.

As part of its effort to provide customers with more options, LG Electronics is adopting a so-called dual-track strategy in 2024 that focuses on both OLED and QNED TVs, the latter being a premium LCD product. At the heart of the new LG OLED Evo series is the Alpha 11 processor, boasting four times the AI deep learning performance of its predecessor, the Alpha 9. This powerhouse processor enables pixel-level image quality adjustments for content sourced from popular online streaming services such as Netflix. Adding two channels for ambient sounds, such as rain, will deliver immersive spatial audio, further enhancing the viewing experience.

One of the standout features of the lineup is the Wireless OLED TV, which will include a 65-inch model to a lineup including 97-inch, 83-inch, and 77-inch counterparts. The Wireless OLED TV is free of cables, excepting the power cord. LG Electronics is also gearing up to launch the world’s first wireless transparent OLED TV, the LG Signature OLED T, later in 2024, following its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show 2024.

The LG QNED Evo, which features a smaller LED, is powered by the Alpha8 processor to deliver AI performance that is 1.3 times stronger than its predecessor, the Alpha 7. This enhanced AI capability enables the TV to analyze each scene, fine-tune brightness levels, and optimize picture quality based on factors such as video genre and on-screen characters.
