Gov’t, KF, SKT, KT team up to support SMEs at MWC 2024

The South Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Foundation for Cooperation of Large, Medium, and Small Enterprises (KF) announced that they will operate a joint exhibition booth alongside SK telecom (SKT) and KT Corp. at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024. The booth, which will run until February 29th, 2024, at the event taking place in Barcelona, Spain, aims to help promote the overseas expansion of 20 Korean SMEs.

SKT, marking a decade at the startup-dedicated exhibition hall 4YFN, will operate the ‘SKT-Startup Collaboration Pavilion,’ featuring seven startups engaged in collaboration projects with the telco, six enterprises nurtured by SKT, and two ventures financed by ESG funds.

Participating startups will receive support from SKT, including exclusive exhibition space, cost coverage, and assistance with overseas buyer exploration, connections, and promotion.

Tuat, joining SKT for a second consecutive year, will present the Sullivan Finder on February 28th, 2024, an AI-based visual assistance voice guidance service enabling visually impaired individuals to accurately perceive their surroundings.

For its part, KT created the Partners Pavilion within its exhibition space, adopting the booth-in-booth approach to showcase five selected partners with core technologies in AI, mobility, media, and energy, including Quanda, Superb AI, Mobiflare, Marsis, and CNU Global. KT will provide partner companies with dedicated exhibition spaces, buyer consultation areas, and support for export marketing activities.

The SME ministry is supporting the operation of booths for ten highly globally competitive small startups, offering assistance with booth management, creating English promotional materials, and buyer meetings.
