Lalasweet, a food and ice cream brand in South Korea, launched two types of low-sugar cream rolls, with hopes to gain the attention of healthy dessert eaters after the success of its low-calorie ice cream.

Korean convenience store chain CU announced Sunday that it released Lalasweet’s Low-Sugar Fresh Cream Roll and Low-Sugar Choco Roll, each priced at 3,100 won ($2.33), on February 14.

Lalasweet is a brand of low-sugar and low-calorie ice cream. The newly launched cream rolls distinguish themselves by having over 30 percent more animal-based cream, offering a fresh and rich cream flavor.

Both flavors have significantly reduced sugar content, with only 2 grams of sugar compared to traditional cream rolls, making it one-tenth of the sugar level.

Since their debut, the cream rolls have gained immense popularity in the country, surpassing a cumulative sales figure of 100,000 units within just ten days of the release.
