PTI's nominee for Prime Minister Omar Ayub holds press conference

Former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser and a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced on 15 February that Khan has nominated the party's secretary general Omer Ayub as the candidate for prime minister and called for engagement with other political parties, including the JUI-F, protesting the February 08 election results. Qaiser made the announcement after meeting with Imran in Adiala Jail. The PTI is currently weighing its options for post-election alliances, as it plans to protest against the election across the country, and its parliamentary session will be called in the coming days.
