Injured Palestinian families evacuated from Gaza prepare to leave for Italy

As part of the Italian commitment to transport 100 wounded or sick people from Gaza to Italy, a new group of wounded Palestinians will leave Cairo aboard an Air Force C130 plane and will include 10 children, young people and their families. A delegation led by Nicola Menassi, the head of the Farnesina Crisis Unit, who arrived in Cairo from Rome, and was accompanied by Italian Ambassador to Egypt, Michele Quaroni, visited the children being treated at the Italian Hospital in Cairo along with their families. The meeting was attended by cultural mediators, health workers, representatives of the Red Crescent and officials of the Egyptian Ministry of Health.
