Drinking water shortages in Kabul

Local residents of Dasht Burchi in Kabul have reported a chronic issue of dehydration due to severe water shortages in the area. Despite slight improvements in water access, the problem still persists and the residents are demanding a consistent and permanent solution. The water supply, which used to come regularly about a year ago, has drastically reduced in the last nine months, with instances of water being available at very low pressure. The entire community, consisting of about 3,000 families, waits for hours even late at night for meager amounts of water. The residents are urging the government to intervene and address the ongoing water crisis as they continue to face challenges in meeting their basic water needs. EPA/SAMIULLAH POPAL
