Happy Seollal holidays! K-pop stars shared messages of love and hope to fans for the Lunar New Year ahead of this year's Seollal, which falls on Saturday.
Multiple K-pop acts uploaded pictures of themselves in Korean traditional dress, or hanbok, a day ahead of this year's Seollal on Feb. 10. Korea started an official four-day public holiday period from Friday to Monday.
Acts included Seventeen, Ateez, NewJeans, Oneus, Onewe, DKB, DKZ, xikers, E'LAST, Mamamoo, BB Girls, Purple Kiss, Kim Jae-hwan, Yong Jun-hyung and the three members of EXO's subunit EXO-CBX, Baekhyun, Xiumin and Chen.
"So much happened to us last year," Seventeen said in a press release. "We hope all Carat [fan club members] enjoy Seollal with us. We hope you all take the energy from the blue dragon and have an energetic 2024 filled with confidence."
This year is the year of the blue dragon, according to the Asian zodiac system.
"We will return with different activities in 2024 so let's make great memories again this year," members of NewJeans said. "Your health is the most important of all. Eat a lot of delicious things and enjoy the warm, happy holidays. We NewJeans hope you have a year filled with happiness."
Here are photos of other K-pop bands in their hanbok outfits. Enjoy, and Happy New Year!
