EastarJet begins public recruitment for cabin crew members

South Korean budget carrier EastarJet said on Thursday that it is seeking new cabin crew members via a public recruitment.

This recruitment drive is the carrier’s first in five years since February 2019 and is the first round of hiring cabin crew since the airline resumed operations in March 2023. The decision to recruit new cabin crew follows the airline’s strategic efforts to expand its workforce and enhance its operational capabilities.

The airline aims to fill positions in the double digits, and interested candidates can submit their applications through the company’s recruitment website until 6:00 PM on February 20th, 2024.

The recruitment process will consist of document screening, followed by first and second-round interviews, and a final selection process that includes a physical examination. Successful candidates from the entire recruitment process are expected to join the airline in April 2024.

EastarJet currently has a workforce of over 780 employees, serving 13 routes and operating a fleet of ten aircraft. Its expansion plans for 2024 involve acquiring more than five additional aircraft and expanding its services to over 12 routes.
