Samsung Electronics Co. announced Thursday that it has collaborated with Universal Music Group to unveil a live performance video of pianist Cho Seong-jin in stunning 8K ultra-high definition (UHD) resolution.

The video features selections from Cho’s critically acclaimed album, “The Handel Project,” which secured the top spot on the Billboard Classical Chart last year.

The performance includes Handel’s “Suite No. 7 in G minor HWV 440-3 Sarabande,” Chopin’s “Waltz No. 2 in A-flat major Op. 34-1,” and Liszt’s “Consolation S. 172-3 in D-flat major.”

The 8K classical genre content, a first for Samsung Electronics, will be available for viewing at Samsung stores nationwide starting Thursday.

In addition to the in-store experience, the video will be sequentially released on Universal Music’s official YouTube channel, “Studio KIWA,” every day from Thursday until February 10 at 6 p.m.

Samsung Electronics is continuing to collaborate with partners to promote the unique viewing experience provided by 8K resolution.

The company said it aims to lead the expansion of 8K content and provide a differentiated viewing experience by showcasing content from various genres.
