A 13-year-old girl was raped on 30 January 2024 in the public toilets of the Villa Bellini, the largest public garden in Catania, by two of a group of seven boys, three of them minors. The victim has identified the two underage alleged perpetrators of the rape, police said on 04 February. According to Catania prosecutor's office, the seven suspects are accused of gang sexual violence.
