epaselect epa11121681 Little fish are released in the waters of the Guarino wetland of Jamundi, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, 02 February 2024. In commemoration of World Wetlands Day, the CVC (Autonomous Corporation of the West) stocked 20,000 fish in this wetland, in addition to releasing two birds of prey. Wetlands are the water regulators of the Andean region, in addition to being key to regulating air quality and temperature, and they even have value in capturing very high carbon dioxide.
