Korean golfer Tom Kim, also known as Kim Joo-hyung, will star in the second season of Netflix's PGA Tour-focused "Full Swing," Netflix announced Thursday.
The documentary series, first started on Netflix in February 2023, shows behind-the-scenes footage of PGA golfers and tournaments.
The eight-episode first series of the show features big names on the Tour including three-time major winner Jordan Spieth and 15-time PGA Tour champion Justin Thomas.
Alongside Kim, this season’s featured golfers include Rory McIlory, Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson. The new season premiers on March 6.
Kim’s appearance in the series alongside such big names in golf is perhaps not a surprise, considering how well he has done since joining the Tour in 2022.
The 21-year-old golfer has three PGA Tour wins under his belt — winning the Wyndham Championship in August 2022, Shriners Children’s Open in October 2022 and defending his title at the Shriners Children’s Open the following year — despite being in his early 20s.
When Kim won his first-ever PGA title, he became the first Tour winner born after 2000. He also joined Byron Nelson as one of the only golfer to have won the same PGA event twice in the same season after winning the Shriners Children’s Open for a second straight time.
The 2022-23 PGA season ran from September 2022 to November 2023, with the Shriners Children’s Open taking place twice.
Kim's titles are not a fluke. In the 2021-22 season, he made three top-10 finishes in 11 tournaments and went on to manage nine top-10 finishes across 27 events in the following season.
As well as footage from the tournaments, "Full Swing" will show a bit more of the players' lives away from the green, including footage of their families and friends.
Away from the documentary cameras, Kim and the rest of the PGA Tour are already in action on this year's tournaments. The PGA AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tees off in Pebble Beach, California on Thursday.
