The JoongAng Group is looking to continue the success of 2023 hits "12.12: The Day," "The Roundup: No Way Out" and more, with another lineup of content scheduled to come from its subsidiaries this year.

Plus M Entertainment, the JoongAng film subsidiary and operator of cinema franchise Megabox, is scheduled to release several films including “The Roundup: Punishment,” the fourth installment in the “The Outlaws” (2017) franchise; “Mission: Cross,” starring actors Hwang Jung-min and Yum Jun-ah; and “Dead Man,” featuring actors Cho Jin-woong and Kim Hee-ae.

Plus M Entertainment distributed the only two Korean films — “The Roundup: No Way Out” and “12.12: The Day” — that hit the 10 million ticket-sales milestone last year.

JoongAng Group's production studio, SLL, recently released “Doctor Slump” on Saturday. The series features actors Park Shin-hye and Park Hyung-sik, reuniting on screen after 11 years after the 2013 SBS drama “The Heirs.”

SLL produced TV series that garnered a significant viewership ratings last year with "Doctor Cha," "King the Land" and "The Good Bad Mother."

The studio company also plans to air a number of TV series, including a thriller series “HIDE,” with actors Lee Bo-young, Lee Mu-saeng and Lee Chung-ah, and romance drama “Although I am Not a Hero” (translated), featuring actors Jang Ki-yong, Chun Woo-hee and Goh Doo-shim.

A new dating show, titled “Love by My Sibling” (translated), is scheduled to roll out, in which siblings try to find each other a partner. The new show will be produced by producer Lee Jin-ju, who made the Tving’s hit dating show “EXchange.”

The JoonAng Group plans to start shooting the new season of the Netflix original series “All of Us Are Dead” (2022) this year. Director Na Hong-jin’s new film “Hope” began shooting early this year with a global cast, including actors Jung Ho-yeon, Michael Fassbender, Zo In-sung, Hwang Jung-min and Alicia Vikander.

“People are the center of our work, and our work is creative field made by people,” Hong Jeong-do, the vice chairman of JoogAng Group, said in a press release. “Although some believe businesses relying on people have no future, I strongly disagree.”

“I will continue to create a company that hires creative people,” he added.
