Seventeen is set to hold encore shows in Korea and Japan from March, the boy band’s agency Pledis Entertainment said Monday.
The encore tour, titled “Seventeen Tour ‘Follow’ Again,” will begin at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on March 30 and 31. The band will be the first K-pop group to hold a solo concert at the stadium, according to its agency. The stadium has a capacity of almost 30,000.
The following concerts will take place in Japan at the Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka on May 18 and 19, then at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama on May 25 and 26.
Seventeen will be the second group to hold a solo concert at the Nissan Stadium, which holds up to around 70,000 people. Boy band TVXQ was the only band to perform solo before Seventeen, according to its agency.
“We have prepared the encore tour as a token of gratitude towards Carat, who have shown love for the band,” Pledis Entertainment said in a press release. “Please look forward to the band's best performance at the concert.”
Carat is the band’s official fan club.
The encore tour is an extension of Seventeen's world tour “Follow,” which ended on Jan. 21 in Macao.
Seventeen debuted in 2015 under Pledis Entertainment, one of HYBE's labels. It has 13 members: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The 8, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino. The band is known for hit songs such as "Very Nice" (2016), "Clap" (2017), "Super" (2023) and “God of Music” (2023).
The band currently appears on the ongoing tvN's travel show "Nana Tour with Seventeen" produced by producer Nah Yung-suk, who is known for his work on other hit variety TV programs such as tvN's "Earth Arcade" (2022-23).
