(240126) -- WUHAN, Jan. 26, 2024 (Xinhua) -- Driver Ni Long walks towards route inspection train DJ5191 at a bullet train maintenance base in Wuhan, central China's Hubei Province, Jan. 26, 2024. The route inspection train DJ5191/DJ5192, with no passengers on it, carries staff members on different duties in search of security threats along the railway section between Wuhan Railway Station and Huangmei East Railway Station.

Ni Long, a high-speed train driver, began his work on DJ5192 early on Friday morning, which marked the start of China's Spring Festival travel rush in 2024.

"With a speed of 250 kilometers per hour, the train runs about 70 meters a second, so we need to be absolutely focused to find any tiny abnormalities along the way," said Ni. (Xinhua/Wu Zhizun)
