Everland is set to hold a tulip garden festival in collaboration with Japanese entertainment company Sanrio on March 22, the amusement park said Wednesday.
Titled “Fairy Town with Sanrio Characters,” the festival will feature the Japanese company's famed cartoon characters like Hello Kitty, Kuromi and Cinnamoroll with a cherry blossom theme, just in time for spring.
Held at Everland in Yongin, Gyeonggi, the festival marks the first time a large-scale Sanrio-themed event will take place in Korea.
Tulips will be planted inside Everland’s Four Season Garden, which spans around 10,000 square meters. There will be attractions, food and beverages, and merchandise in collaboration with Sanrio.
Everland will continue to make “unique content” every season using the Four Season Garden as its main platform, it said in a press release, teasing more collaborations in the future.
The amusement park has been actively promoting its own IPs, including the giant panda Bao Family and red panda character Lessey & Friends.
