Korea's luge team took fourth in the relay at the Gangwon 2024 Winter Youth Olympics on Tuesday, coming a few seconds shy of a podium spot.
The mixed team of Kim So-yoon, Kim Bo-keun, Kim Ha-yoon and Bae Jae-song finished with a time of 2 minutes and 32.910 seconds to place fourth in the final at the sliding center in Pyeongchang, Gangwon.
Italy took gold with a time of 2 minutes and 29.470 seconds and Latvia took silver with 2 minutes and 30.299 seconds, narrowly edging out Austria who nabbed bronze with 2 minutes and 30.421 seconds.
This year is Korea's first time competing in luge — the fastest sport at the tournament — in Winter Youth Olympics history, which began in London in 2012.
