Genesis GV70 to elevate in-car luxury with OLED dashboard

Genesis, the premium brand under Hyundai Motor Group, is set to adopt organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) with excellent image quality and outdoor visibility for the car’s dashboard display.

According to sources on Sunday, Hyundai Motor plans to equip the upcoming facelift model of the Genesis GV70, set for release this year, with a 27-inch OLED dashboard display. Following the introduction of OLED in the dashboard display of the GV80 facelift model last year, Genesis extended the same design to the G80 facelift model.

Genesis highlights the design elements by transitioning the driver-side central screen to OLED, connecting the instrument cluster and center fascia into a horizontally elongated display named as the Panoramic Display.

The move is seen as a strategic decision to enhance the design appeal of all upcoming Genesis models by adopting OLED displays in the central dashboard, providing exceptional image quality and a sense of sophistication.

The OLEDs used in the current Genesis models are reportedly supplied by LG Display Co.
