SK Broadband wins certification for privacy management

SK Broadband announced on Thursday that it obtained the Personal Information & Information Security Management System (ISMS-P) certification from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).

The ISMS-P certification is a nationally recognized system that assesses whether businesses can effectively respond to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats and whether their information protection systems and customer privacy management systems are adequate.

SK Broadband passed a total of 102 audit criteria, including the establishment and operation of a management system, requirements for protection measures, and requirements for each stage of personal information processing that are required to obtain the certification.

Recognizing the protection of customer information as a top priority, the company formed a dedicated organization for customer information protection that reports directly to the CEO. This structure reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining robust security measures and safeguarding the privacy of its customers.

SK Broadband said that it elevated the operational standards of its personal information protection management system by internalizing ISMS-P and will continue to strengthen its commitment to ESG management.
