BYN BLACKYAK Group appoints Kim Ik-tae as new president

South Korean outdoor clothing company BYN BLACKYAK Group announced Monday that it recruited Kim Ik-tae, former head of the apparel business division at Callaway Golf Korea, Ltd., as its new president.

The newly appointed Kim began his career in 1994 with Sam Shin Intercrew Co. and joined FILA Korea Ltd. in 1999, where he was responsible for product planning. He also headed the business division and general planning division of FILA Korea’s Italian sportswear brand Diadora, then heading the NBA division at HansaeMK Co. in 2017, the head of the Discovery Expedition planning division at F&F Co. in 2019, and the head of the apparel business division at Callaway Golf Korea in 2021. He is a fashion veteran with extensive experience in sports, outdoor, and golf wear.

With Kim’s appointment, BYN BLACKYAK Group plans to further strengthen its fashion brand portfolio, including its high-functionality premium outdoor brand BLACKYAK, as well as accelerate innovative changes and enhancements in its offerings.
