Jailed former PM Khan's party PTI withdraws contempt petition against Election Commission of Pakistan in Islamabad

The party had initially approached the Supreme Court with the plea on December 26, but the court disposed of the case after the PTI's withdrawal. During the hearing, PTI senior vice president Latif Khosa expressed dissatisfaction with the court's January 13 verdict, which deprived the party of its 'bat' symbol, stating that it forced the party to refrain from contesting on over 230 seats.
