LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-eun called for business structures capable of adapting to the future changes centered around artificial intelligence and robotics during his visit to CES 2024.

Koo explored the CES 2024 venue in Las Vegas with over 20 employees who excelled in innovative business ideas and research outcomes in 2023 on Wednesday (local time). He navigated through the exhibitions of leading domestic and global companies, experiencing various innovative technologies and seeking opportunities for new business ventures.

Koo expressed particular interest in AI and robotics technologies, saying, “LS will prepare and develop a business system that can adequately respond to the future, no matter what challenges come our way, through diverse collaboration and technological innovation with a long-term perspective.”

“Let’s create our own future innovations based on LS’s foundational technology and new technologies such as AI.”

On the same day, LS Electric Co. Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding for business development and comprehensive collaboration with Lotte Data Communication’s electric vehicle charging platform subsidiary EVSIS, which focuses on the development of future-oriented electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

LS Electric announced the MOU with EVSIS at the CES 2024 exhibition hall, focusing on the development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure based on solid-state transformers (SST) and microgrid technology.

Microgrid refers to a self-sufficient power facility equipped with renewable energy-based power sources and energy storage systems (ESS). Both companies plan to collaborate on developing DC system-based electric vehicle charging infrastructure and LS Electric will leverage its SST to establish a DC power network, including ESS, based on renewable energy.
