The new girl group Candy Shop will debut in the first half of 2024, its agency announced Friday.
Brave Entertainment, which is also home to boy band DKB, unveiled the new group's logo as well.
The name Candy Shop comes from “CAtch N Draw Youth” and “Shop,” and symbolizes a space that connects the girl group with its listeners, according to the agency.
Candy Shop is Brave Entertainment’s first new girl group in 13 years since the launch of girl group Brave Girls in 2011. The members of Brave Girls ended their exclusive contracts with Brave Entertainment last year.
The group signed with its new agency, Warner Music Korea, in April 2023 and changed its name to BB Girls.
Brave Entertainment founded the eight-member boy band DKB in February 2020, which debuted with its EP “Youth.” It is known for its EPs “I Need Love” (2023) and “Hip” (2023).
Producer Brave Brothers will be in charge of Candy Shop’s music. Brave Brothers has produced music for numerous girl groups, including Brown Eyed Girls, Sistar and AOA. To find out more about Candy Shop, visit Celeb Confirmed!
