COSMAX taps emerging markets with strategic TFs

COSMAX Inc., a South Korean cosmetics original design manufacturer (ODM), announced its foray into emerging markets as it successfully secured clients in the Middle East, South America, India, and Africa via dedicated task forces (TF) in each region.

The company revealed on Thursday that it successfully secured clients in the four regions by operating TFs dedicated to emerging countries, and the Middle East is a region where COSMAX has invested significant efforts.

COSMAX became the first Korean cosmetics ODM to obtain certification from MUI, one of the top three halal certification organizations, for sales in the Middle East in 2016. The company expanded its presence in the region by establishing and operating a dedicated TF and securing additional clients, including customers in Turkey, as well as supplying products to an influencer brand in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2021.

With a factory in New Jersey, the United States, COSMAX plans to further expand its reach in South America, with the TF in Latin America securing new Mexican clients in 2023.

In Africa, the TF has been effective in expanding into three countries, with its basic cosmetics brand in Kenya gaining recognition in Nigeria, Uganda, and other countries in the continent.

COSMAX also found success in India, where K-beauty has built a premium image. The company plans to use digital showrooms alongside in-person visits to prospect for customers in emerging markets.
