Galaxy Book4 series sales soar in first week after release

Samsung Electronics Co.’s Galaxy Book4 series, which became available in South Korean market on January 2, 2024, saw a significant increase in initial sales compared to its predecessor.

According to the Korean tech giant on Thursday, the sales of the Galaxy Book4 series in Korea in the first week of its release were about 1.5 times that of the Galaxy Book3 series.

By model, the Galaxy Book4 Pro and Book4 Pro 360 each sold 1.4 times as much as their predecessors, while the Galaxy Book4 Ultra more than doubled the sales of its predecessor.

The Galaxy Book4 Pro accounts for about 70 percent of the total sales, driving the initial performance, with its 16-inch model reportedly more popular than the 14-inch model.

The early success of the Galaxy Book4 series is attributed to a combination of factors including the latest display, artificial intelligence (AI) performance, connectivity with Galaxy smartphones, and promotions.

The laptop’s feature to connect conveniently with Galaxy smartphones and tablets has been particularly well-received, according to the company. The company also added ‘Samsung Studio’, a feature that allows users to continue editing videos made on their smartphone or tablet in more detail on their PC, and ‘Photo Remaster’, which enhances old photos or low-quality images to high quality images.

The global release schedule for the Galaxy Book4 series has not yet been finalized, but the product is expected to be released in overseas markets as early as late January or early February.
