NewJeans takes home most awards at Circle Chart Music Awards 2023

NewJeans took home four awards at the Circle Chart Music Awards (CCMA) 2023 in Busan on Wednesday, winning the most awards during the ceremony.
This year's ceremony took place at Bexco in Busan, and a total of 30 different awards were presented based on album sales, streaming and other data compiled by Circle Chart.
NewJeans won four awards, including the Artist of the Year awards in global streaming, unique listener and digital and Music Steady Seller of the Year.
"Thank you all for loving our song 'Super Shy,'" NewJeans said in a video played at the ceremony after receiving the Artist of the Year award in global streaming, as the group did not attend the ceremony in person.
"We thank everyone and our fans for listening to our song. We will keep on working hard to show a better version of us."
Girl groups IVE and (G)I-DLE took home three awards from the Artist of the Year categories, which are global streaming, unique listener and digital.
Le Sserafim won Artist of the Year in two categories, digital and unique listener.
Boy bands also took home many awards. NCT Dream, Jungkook of BTS and Seventeen each won three awards.
NCT Dream won Digital Album of the Year, Artist of the Year in the physical album category and the World K-pop Star award.
"We are planning a lot of activities for this year," NCT Dream's Jeno said after receiving Artist of the Year. "We are grateful for receiving such an award, which motivates us to work even harder."
BTS's Jungkook took home three awards Artist of the Year awards in global streaming, digital and physical album.
Seventeen won Artist of the Year in the physical album category, Retail Album of the Year and KiT Album of the Year.
Girl group Blackpink's Jisoo won Artist of the Year in the global streaming category and girl group aespa won Artist of the Year in the unique listener category.
Boy bands Stray Kids and Tomorrow X Together took home an Artist of the Year award in the physical album category.
YG Entertainment's new girl group BabyMonster took home Rookie of the Year (Global Streaming) with its first song, "Batter Up."
Boy band Riize won Rookie of the Year in the unique listener category, and boy band ZeroBaseOne won Rookie of the Year in the physical album category.
A number of K-pop artists took the stage during the event, including Riize, girl group STAYC, Tomorrow x Together and ZeroBaseOne.
Boy band Super Junior's Leeteuk, STAYC's Sieun and ZeroBaseOne's Seok Matthew hosted the ceremony.
Many Korean celebrities, including actor Ahn Bo-hyun and rapper Hanhae, attended the ceremony to present the awards.
CCMA 2023 was broadcast live on SPOTV and STATV and organized by the Korea Music Content Association and SPOTV.
