LG Innotek Co., an electronics parts manufacturer under South Korea’s LG Group, on Monday unveiled a large array of mobility solutions at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024. LG Electronics also captured the audience’s attention by presenting its future mobility experience, the LG Alpha-able.

Entering the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), visitors were greeted with a 4.3-meter vehicle mockup equipped with 18 car electronics systems developed by LG Innotek. The company was engaged in a competitive stance against global giants like Amazon, Qualcomm, and Mobileye in the realm of mobility technology.

LG Innotek showcased a suite of its new solutions, including a wireless battery management system (BMS), advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), light detection and ranging (LiDAR), and a second-generation electric vehicle communication controller (EVCC).

Inside the private booth, LG Innotek’s standout technology was the software-defined vehicle (SDV) solution. Equipped with a driver monitoring system (DMS) camera, when a driver was observed closing his or her eyes while glancing at the steering wheel and screen, a loud warning alerted the driver. This technology aims to prevent drowsy driving by detecting driver actions through the camera.

During the world premiere, LG Electronics introduced LG Alphaware, an SDV solution. The LG Electronics booth showcased the future mobility experience, LG Alpha-able, promising a distinct driving experience tailored for transformation, exploration, and relaxation.
