Russian Communist Party candidate Nikolay Kharitonov registers for presidential election

The Central Election Commission of Russia has registered State Duma deputy (fraction of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation) Nikolai Kharitonov as a candidate for the presidential elections in March 2024. On 23 December 2023, the Congress of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation voted to nominate Kharitonov as a presidential candidate in the upcoming elections. On 07 December the Federation Council adopted a resolution calling elections for the President of the Russian Federation.
