Riize is a band to look out for in 2024, according to Apple Music and the Grammy Awards website.
Riize was named as one of five artists on the 2024 Artists to Watch list on Monday by Apple Music, and the only K-pop band.
Apple Music released Shazam Predictions 2024, partnering with music discovery app Shazam, on Monday. The list features 50 emerging artists who are predicted to have a breakthrough year and five artists to watch out for this year, based on Shazam’s data reviewed by Apple Music’s editors.
The band’s latest single “Love 119” was also included in the Shazam Predictions 2024 playlist.
The band was also previously named among the 25 Artists To Watch in 2024 by Grammy.com, which was released on Jan. 4. Riize was the only K-pop boy band to make the list.
Riize debuted on Sept. 4 last year with its first single “Get A Guitar,” under SM Entertainment. The band consists of members Shotaro, Sungchan, Eunseo, Wonbin, Seunghan, Sohee and Anton.
The band released the single “Love 119” on Jan. 5, topping local music charts including Melon and Bugs. The song also topped the iTunes Top Song chart in nine countries after its release.
Riize is set to appear on YouTube channel "it’s Live" for “the Fillin’ Live” on Tuesday at 8 p.m. The band is to showcase its recent release “Love 119,” along with its other songs such as “Get a Guitar” (2023), “Memories” (2023) and “Talk Saxy” (2023).
