Gaming laptop with Samsung OLED panels to debut at CES24

Samsung Display Co. announced on Friday that a premium gaming laptop, equipped with its high-quality organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display panels, will be unveiled at the world’s largest consumer electronics exhibition, Consumer Electronics Show 2024.

Samsung Display has begun mass producing OLEDs for the 16-inch, 240Hz laptops ahead of the release of the Razer Inc.’s Razer Blade 16, according to the company.

The Razer Blade 16 is a premium gaming laptop with a 240Hz refresh rate, 0.2-millisecond response time, and 2560×1600 quad high definition plus resolution. This new laptop received certification from the Video Electronics Standards Association as the highest quality standard grade for laptops, known as “ClearMR 11000.”

“With our outstanding OLED quality and performance, we aim to provide a broader range of options for consumers and lead the new trends in the laptop market,” Lee Ho-jung, head of Samsung’s product planning team for the small and medium-sized display division, said.

Travis Furst, head of Razer’s laptop division, stated that the new product will provide gamers and creators with a new graphic experience with “a display with a fast 0.2ms response time and excellent color accuracy.”
