The Helmand Marble Process Company in Afghanistan has been processing 100 metric tons of marble annually, sourced from mines in Helmand's Disho and Khanshin districts. The company produces ornamental vessels and construction materials from marble, which are not only popular within Afghanistan but also exported to foreign countries. Established during the reign of Muhammad Zahir Shah, the company has seen success in both the national and international markets, with an expanded product range that includes furniture and marble stone products.
