CES24 to highlight enhancing lives via digital healthcare, AI

Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, the world’s largest consumer technology trade show that will take place in Las Vegas, the United States, from January 9 to 12, is expected to feature futuristic technologies that help enhance the human experience. The keywords for this year are AI in all industries, highly personalized digital healthcare, and sustainability for human security.

According to Thursday’s analysis by Maeil Business Newspaper on the 424 CES Innovation Awards and Honorees in 29 categories that are indicators of future technology, digital healthcare was the most prominent with 48 entries.

Intin Inc. developed a portable sperm and ovulation analyzer that can be used at home to address fertility issues, while Amorepacific Corp. drew attention for its electronic lip balm, which gauges the lips’ moisture levels and forms a moisturizing layer on the surface.

Personalized technology is becoming more prominent at CES In 2024, and the increased desire to improve the quality of life as the population ages is supported by AI and machine learning technologies.

Following digital healthcare, the number of innovation awards in sustainability was 34, AI was 28, mobile and accessories 24, smart home 24, accessibility and elderly technology 23, transportation technology 20, embedded technology 19, and human security 16.

TelePIX Co. presented a nanosatellite that monitors seaweed and captures carbon in real-time from high altitudes. THOTH Inc. showcased a robot solution that diagnoses and dismantles used batteries.

All these products are equipped with AI, and of note is AI’s role in reducing human labor, preserving the environment, saving energy, and increasing accessibility for people, highlighting human tech.

“From healthcare to transportation to smart home solutions to advances in artificial intelligence and beyond, CES 2024 will shed light on the technological innovation that will change our world for the better,” Gary Shapiro, president and chief executive officer of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) which organizes CES, said.

CTA introduced the comprehensive concept of human security, with the concept of security expanding beyond military areas to include food, medicine, economy, environment, personal safety, community safety, and political freedom.
