Samsung Electronics to unpack Galaxy S24 devices on Jan. 17

Samsung Electronics Co. announced Wednesday that it will unveil its latest smartphone series, Galaxy S24, equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) features in an event in the United States later this month.

The devices will be showcased at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event in San Jose, California, on January 17. Samsung Electronics sent out invitations to the media and partners, titled, “Opening a New Era of Mobile AI.”

The invitation, in a clip form, shows a titanium box opening to reveal three stars, soon joined by a fourth, concluding with the message “Galaxy AI is coming,” suggesting that Samsung Electronics may be adding AI features to the Galaxy S24 series.

Possible features include real-time call interpretation, night vision zoom, and generative AI-powered editing.

Samsung Electronics said that it will “unveil the latest premium Galaxy innovations, providing an all-new mobile experience powered by AI.”
