Hanwha updates its women-focused insurance plan

Seoul-based non-life insurer Hanwha General Insurance Co. recently updated its women-focused health insurance policy with extensive coverage for women’s healthcare needs.

The details were revealed in an announcement the non-life insurer made on Tuesday, which stated that “the updated coverage will give customers greater access to anti-mullierian hormone (AMH) tests, while providing preferential treatment for egg freezing and preservation procedures.”

The insurance plan provides more extensive coverage for diseases related to the breasts, thyroid, and uterus common in women by including screening, diagnosis, treatment, and recurrence into the program.

In the latest updated policy, breast cancer (receptor type), a common disease for women, is covered for a maximum of four diagnoses. The policy was devised in collaboration with Cha Hospital, a leading medical institution in obstetrics and gynecology.
