Security concerns in KPK prompt request for enhanced court security by lawyers

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Bar Council has requested security for all district and sessions courts across the province, citing serious security concerns and threats to lawyers, politicians, and courts as reported by the interior ministry. This request comes in the midst of an uptick in terror activities in KP and Balochistan after the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan ended its ceasefire with the government. Additionally, the recent firing incident near vehicles of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman's convoy in Dera Ismail Khan has raised concerns about the deteriorating law and order situation in the region. The interior ministry had earlier warned of serious threats to the lives of political leaders, urging extreme caution and necessary security arrangements to avert any untoward incidents.
