Korean Air's flights connecting Incheon and Japan's western prefecture of Ishikawa were delayed Tuesday after a major earthquake struck off Japan's west coast the previous day.

The company reported no damage involving passengers, employees or properties.

According to the company, flight KE775 from Incheon International Airport to Komatsu Airport in Ishikawa was delayed by around two and a half hours on Tuesday morning following the previous day's 7.6 magnitude quake.

The returning KE776 flight was also subsequently delayed by two hours to depart in the afternoon instead of the morning as initially scheduled, Korean Air said.

Komatsu is located about 110 kilometers (68 miles) from the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa, where the earthquake occurred.

Korean Air is the only domestic carrier operating flights at Komatsu Airport. It offers three weekly flights, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Korean Air said it expects the aftermath of the earthquake to impact the operations of the route until Saturday.

No other Korean airlines have reported any other issues, such as departure delays, in connection with the recent earthquake.
