Park Eun-sook assumes leadership role at Small Business Training Institute

The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency announced Monday that it appointed Park Eun-sook as the new director of the Small Business Training Institute (SBTI).

Previously serving at the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, Park led the Gangwon Regional Headquarters and managed the Risk and Compliance as well as the Metropolitan Area Management Support teams. Her extensive expertise in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and her track record in talent development made her suitable for assuming leadership at the SBTI.

Expressing her commitment to the SBTI’s legacy of 41 years in nurturing talent, Park emphasized her dedication to supporting the development of human resources in new industrial sectors. She outlined three primary focus areas for talent development, centering on semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital transformation.

“I will strive to minimize the disparity between the demand for professionals from companies and the supply from educational institutions,” she said.
