Korea's business sentiment fell for the second month for January amid an economic slowdown, a Bank of Korea poll showed Thursday.
Korean companies' business sentiment index (BSI) stood at 68 for the coming month, down from 69 the previous month, according to the poll.
The index measures corporate prospects for business conditions in the following month. A reading below 100 means pessimists outnumber optimists.
The central bank said business sentiment fell due to economic uncertainties.
The BSI for manufacturers came to 69 for January, up 1 point from the previous month. The index for nonmanufacturing firms fell 3 points over the same period to 68.
