Doyoung of boy band NCT has donated 50 million won ($38,610) to help children in need this Christmas.
The artist donated the money to the Community Chest of Korea on Saturday, according to his agency, SM Entertainment.
“Christmas is an exciting day for everyone, but I hope the children have a more special memory and a warmer day,” Doyoung said in a news release. “I wish that my support could help children achieve their precious dreams.”
Doyoung has made frequent donations throughout his career. He was named a member of the Honor Society in February for donating 100 million won to the Community Chest of Korea following the earthquake that rocked Turkey and Syria earlier this year.
The Honor Society is a club for those who donate more than 100 million won to the Community Chest of Korea.
Doyoung debuted as a member of NCT in 2016 under SM Entertainment. He is currently a member of three NCT subunits — NCT 127, NCT U and NCT Dojaejung.
