HD Hyundai teams up with Google Cloud for AI solutions

HD Hyundai partnered with Google Cloud to create an AI-based platform providing enterprise solutions in key sectors such as shipbuilding and construction machinery.

HD Hyundai partnered with Google Cloud to create an AI-based platform providing enterprise solutions in key sectors such as shipbuilding and construction machinery.

The collaboration, unveiled on Tuesday, will usher in generative AI across HD Hyundai's core businesses. Google Cloud will offer industry-specific AI applications, including the Vertex AI platform, which uses the generative AI technology Gemini.

From January 2024, the partnership will work on various projects, including building industry-specific AI solutions, creating an AI-based platform that elevates the digital experience for customers, and training AI experts.

HD Hyundai and Google Cloud initiated a pilot program in July, testing a Generative AI service for after-sales customer service calls within the construction equipment division.

Philip Moyer, vice president of Global AI Business and Solutions at Google Cloud, is slated to take the stage at HD Hyundai's CES 2024 keynote session.
