Girl group Dreamcatcher's Siyeon will drop a remake single "Start Over" on Sunday, her agency Dreamcatcher Company said Tuesday.
Singer Gaho's "Start Over" was part of the original soundtrack for the JTBC series "Itaewon Class" (2020). The song was a hit along with the series, with its music video gaining more than a hundred million views on YouTube.
The song's lyricist, Seo Dong-sung, recommended that Siyeon sing the remake version after seeing her cover of Japanese singer Yuuri's "Betelgeuse" (2022), according to her agency.
Siyeon debuted as a member of girl group Dreamcatcher in January 2017 with the single "Nightmare" under Dreamcatcher Company. It consists of seven members JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami and Gahyeon. Dreamcatcher has released songs such as "Chase Me" (2017), "Full Moon" (2018), "Deja Vu" (2019), "Scream" (2020), "Odd Eye" (2021), "Maison" (2022) and "Bon Voyage." It recently released its ninth EP, "VillainS," on Nov. 22.
The group is set to begin its 2024 world tour, "Luck Inside 7 Doors," starting with a Seoul concert on Jan. 13 at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, eastern Seoul.
