An Apple Watch rescued three people involved in a car accident in Jeju.
The three passengers, all of whom are in their 20s, sustained injuries when their vehicle overturned in the snow, Seogwipo police said Monday. The accident occurred at 8:44 p.m. on Sunday, along a road in Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo, Jeju.
The driver of the vehicle tested positive for alcohol consumption.
A passenger's Apple Watch automatically dialed 119 after the accident, police said.
One of the Apple Watch's key features is its ability to make an emergency call if its wearer is unresponsive 10 seconds after such an accident.
