Two lives lost and nearly 30 injured in Christmas morning fire

Two people died, while nearly 30 others were injured, in a fire at an apartment in Banghak-dong, Dobong District, northern Seoul, on Christmas morning.
The fire broke out on the third floor at 4:57 p.m., according to the local fire department.
Two men in their 30s and a woman in her 70s were discovered in a state of cardiac arrest and immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Two did not survive.
Some 200 firefighters were dispatched. The fire was extinguished at 8:40 a.m.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
