A Christmas market is being held at Culture Station Seoul 284 in Jung District, central Seoul, through Sunday.
It is the exhibition center’s first Christmas market and is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Craft and Design Foundation (KCDF).
In the red ocean of Christmas markets this year, which tend to be modeled after traditional European ones, “Secret Christmas Station” is filled with local goods, made by neighborhood designers and craftspeople.
Items include furniture, stationery, food, interior items and fashion garments from 90 brands.
On the second floor of Culture Station Seoul 284, programs for children are also held, like musical performances and taking photos with Santa.
A storytelling performance with picture books is scheduled for 11 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. At 2 p.m. on Saturday, there will be a Christmas-themed jazz performance. Santa will be visiting Culture Station Seoul 284 on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and there will also be a parade.
“Secret Christmas Station” is free to all.
