South Korea’s SK Group will unveil a visionary display of cutting-edge low-carbon technologies at Consumer Electronics Show 2024 set to take place in Las Vegas, the United States, from January 9 to 12.

Bringing forth a theme-park-style pavilion, SK Group’s seven subsidiaries, including SK Inc., SK innovation Co., SK hynix Inc., SK telecom Co., and SK E&S Co. will collectively operate an exhibition center with a focus on the theme of happiness, the group said on Thursday.

Visitors to the SK pavilion will have the opportunity to explore futuristic concepts, including future trains and flying carpets, and experience an AI-driven fortuneteller, all within the context of a net-zero world, where the climate crisis has been effectively resolved.

To underscore the theme park concept, the exhibition space will prominently feature signage reading Wonderland.

The aim is to offer visitors a tangible experience of the joy and contentment achievable in a carbon-neutral world, with clean air and an environmentally friendly habitat.

The exhibition area for next year is set to expand to 1,850 square meters, up from the 627 square meters of space the group occupied at the previous CES in January 2023.

“Our goal is to create an experiential journey for visitors to feel the happiness achievable in a net-zero world, where the climate crisis is addressed,” said an official from SK Group. “Through this exhibition, we aim to convey the message that actively participating in carbon reduction efforts is not only gratifying but also essential for sustainable happiness.”

The initiative aligns with SK Group’s commitment announced earlier this year to reduce 200 million tons of carbon emissions by 2030, representing 1 percent of the global carbon reduction target.

SK Group highlighted that its member companies have been diligently developing a wide array of carbon reduction technologies and solutions.

With net-zero as the new driving force in the era of energy transition, the conglomerate aims to position itself as a leading provider of comprehensive carbon reduction solutions globally.
